Damian Robert Chapa (born October 29, 1963) is a Mexican- American[1] actor, film director and film producer.

Chapa was born in Dayton, Ohio, USA. He was briefly married to Natasha Henstridge. Among his earlier notable film roles are one of the leads in Taylor Hackford's Blood In Blood Out and the part of Ken in the film adaptation of Street Fighter. Subsequently, Chapa has directed and produced, in addition to starring in, his own films. These movies include 1998's Kill You Twice, 2000's The Lonely Life of Downey Hall, 2002's Man of Faith, 2004's Shade of Pale, 2004's El Padrino, and 2006's I.R.A.: King of Nothing.

Chapa co-wrote and directed Polanski Unauthorized, a biopic of Roman Polanski, in which he played the title role. It was released on February 13, 2009, in Los Angeles, California. Chapa shall begin filming the only film about Marlon Brando ever to be made in June 2010 called Brando Unauthorized. He will follow with "Vatos Locos Forever", starring him and directed by Albert Pyun, about the Yakuza mafia in Mexico, and how the Mexican gang boys, known as "vatos", fought back and defeated the Japanese gang-bangers. Chapa will follow with "Beatty Unauthorized", about the life and career of character actor Ned Beatty. Chapa will direct the picture and play Ned Beatty.

During that last 18 years Pete has interviewed well over 30,000 people, many of whom are notables from Oprah Winfrey, Larry King and Red Skelton to legendary actors Anthony Quinn, Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones to sports figures Oscar De La Hoya and Evander Holyfield. Pete is a versatile communicator. He has written for over 40 publications with Celebrity Scene News, Vegas Flash and Hollywood In Action columns. Pete segued from journalism to radio and television working initially with James Brown, The Godfather of Soul, Robert Goulet and Engelbert Humperdinck. Pete's interviews are uplifting and inspirational.
What the majority of folks don't know about is Pete's entertainment background. He started in Houston, Texas with Bubba Thomas and The Lightmen as a vocalist and promoter where he developed jazz clubs in restaurants. After working with Bubba, Pete relocated to Las Vegas, opening his own revue at the Fremont Hotel, later moving to the The Marina Hotel on the "Strip," now the MGM. He was also instrumental in exposing artists such as Kirby Van Burch, The Prince of Magic and dancer/singer Lyn Ashley to Las Vegas.

In the '90s, Pete branched out into producing television commercials for such clients as Sam Woo BBQ, Dragon Sushi and The Olympic Garden Gentlemen's Club. He continues to produce local commercials which are cost effective with the same quality as national commercials. Pete has effectively employed such names as comedy-legend/singer Steve Rossi, actor Michael DeLano, actress Gale Baker and entertainer/actor Mayf L. Nutter for product endorsements.

Pete is currently in production with the televised version of Las Vegan Report airing weekly on Warner Brothers—Las Vegas, cable 12 and UPN 25. He holds the titles of Executive Director of Public Relations for Las Vegan Magazine and is Executive Producer, Director and Host of The Las Vegan Report. Pete enjoys his positions as broadcaster, producer and talk-show host. He is available for lectures and tourism promotion for vacation destination spots throughout the United States and abroad.

Pete is also President of Celebrity Scene News broadcasting Sundays, 7-8pm PST, with entertainer Steve Rossi on Talk America Radio Network based in Boston, Massachusetts and is also heard on Cable Radio Network (CRN) on shows Take It To The Limit with Buck Hunter, The Jersey Boy Show and The B-Team Show. CRN, based in Sunland, California, reaches over 15 million households nationwide, 3½ million of which are based in the Los Angeles area. Other stations which broadcast Celebrity Scene News independently are 94.7 BOSS Radio in Augusta, Georgia, WQBH Radio in Detroit, Michigan and KDWN AM 720 in Las Vegas, Nevada on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm.
