H.M.S. Bounty Returns To Fall River!

This ship made its home in Fall River from 1993 to 2001. It was given to the city by Ted Turner. However, the ship fell into disrepair and the city could not afford to maintain and was forced to sell in 2001. This ship is a replica of the vessel used in the film "Mutiny On The Bounty" and calls Green Port, N.Y. its home now.

"Walking along the boardwalk at Heritage State Park. And this is The H.M.S. Bounty. It was docked here in Fall River in 1993 (through 2001.) And now it's making a cameo appearance in the city. It is currently stationed in (Green Port,) New York. It basically now travels all over the world...to raise money to maintain it (and keep it sea worthy.) Once again, The H.M.S. Bounty in Fall River, Ma. Today is Saturday May 8, 2010..."
