I made this hand-crank figure for a brilliant man who has inspired me and countless other amateur organ builders all over the world. " Thank you John "

  • This is still giving me a lot of pleasure I show it to most of my organ visitors and they are always impressed. Thanks Dan

John, I am so very happy this little project is still bringing you joy. The organs I built from your plans have brought me unimaginable pleasure. I have many fond memories of our time in Clophill and Flitwick, your hospitality making a wonderful visit.

    Thank you,

    dan

  • that is really cool..did you come up with the whistles on your own? just wondering how the bellow system works.

  • @Parmesana

The whistles and bellows are patterned after those of a cuckoo clock. There are no valves, air is drawn in through the mouth of the whistle, then when the cam allows the spring loaded assembly to drop, the air is forced out quickly, making the sound.

  • how did u make this?

  • Built with bits of scrap wood, some thin leather, a few pieces of wire, a couple screws, a little paint, and a lot of experimentation!
