Are permits required to drain a pond?
-
@letsdig18 Now, How do you fill the pond back as it was?
-
those geese did not seem too happy ;)

Very Smart idea

@letsdig18 Thats about 4.9 million gallons at exactly 3 acres and a 5 foot drop. Fill up a cup or two lol

With a little "Out -of-The-Box" brainstorming it looks like you could have a source of "Green Power" to assist on days when high power usage is experienced. Similar thing down in Missouri at the Taum Sauk Resevoir. On days of high power demand (High Air Conditioning usage) the local utility opens the gates on the Resevoir and uses the power, after sun down it uses power from its Nuclear Power plant and from Bagnel Dam to pump the water to the upper resevoir and thus the cycle is renewed.

@Danandria Heck.... I meant "caused by the gravitational pull of the mass" Oh well...lol
Hey, just a question for u how many feet did u have to drop the Lake "pond" ?? and would the Siphon be able to drain it completely ??

I had to pull it down about 5-6'. I didn't not want to drain it any lower due to all the fish that were in it.
