A huge section of Auger Hole Road, 3 miles up from the Parish Hill Bridge in South Newfane, Vermont, was taken over by the Marlboro Branch River on Sunday, August 28, 2011 during Irene's flooding. The damage is extensive. Lahar Road also suffered heavy damage and is impassable by vehicle. The Collins Road bridge, just off of Auger Hole Road, was also damaged and is impassable by vehicle. All residents on Lahar Road and Collins Road are reported safe.
