  • thanks man, i thought that when i saw another video with the same reaction but .. a little more violent with more solution and H2SO4 lol, so.. the sugar and the h2so4 liberates toxic fumes and just a little more temperature..and then the potassium chlorate makes it turn into flames, in combination they do a mess (A)

  • This is a chemical reaction between potassium chlorate and in this case chocolate (which has sugar in it)

    The potassium chlorate is melted to a liquid which then reacts with the gummy bear. The potassium chlorate is oxidized, releasing oxygen gas, which creates the extremely bright and hot reaction.

  • can you say what was in the tube??

  • most probably it was some kind of perchlorate
