@marikitna Its a legacy. crappy singers winning the vote miraculously. its sad, that's why i just stopped watching american idol.

I can say that the arrangement carried david cook in this song. It was so beautiful but it did not hide the fact that his voice sounded lethargic. I loved the arrangement but hated his singing. The judges gave him an unfair pass.

david made the song so sad... it's supposed to be happy! that's the whole meaning of the song!
-
David did awful. Totally butchered the song. No one should ever sing MC songs, EVER! SMH!
-
I thought David Cook did a terriffic job with this. I liked this arrangement better than the original, and he really turned it into a rock song.
-
@donutstreet Because he went up against Archuleta.
Kristy Lee: I agree with Randy. The best part of the song was the end. In the right hands, Forever could be a country smash. But certainly not in hers and she sure didn't give me chills. Mariah is just too nice LOL...
David Cook: His voice is really rough. Rough timbres have an appeal but his timbre is tired. Especially in his lower register. But I have to give him kudos for turning it into a decent rock cover. If only he had a better voice.

On this one, David Cook was terrible.
-
@Navi231 You're welcome and I hope to hear you sing sometime!
-
@the09conradz Why, thank you! I was just answering people's questions on why David sucked so bad. And yes, I do have a good ear and I can actually sing, I just haven't had the time to upload anything. I promise, though, that I will. I was actually thinking of covering (and, yes, I know this is a huge risk) My All. Hopefully my baritone voice will love me enough that I can.
So um y did david cook win again??
