I think people confuse between Bf/Gf and date so in somali community its quit different coz date has his own style and there's always gap between the couple and they always focus on future and how they'll get marry..but in B/f there's no gap at all the couple can do anything they want and they don't talk about marriage or long relationship coz the guy thinks this girl is player while he doesn't judge himself first so its cultural conflict that no one will mary a playgirl but a playboy is okey

i think the difference is that back in somalia, there were guidelines to how boys and girls interacted, but these days, everywhere not just western countries, people take it a bit too far, you can be friends with the opposite gender, the problem i think the elders have is promiscuity becoming a norm among young somali-which wasnt the case in somalia, people could be friends, close friends, but if they really cared about each other, they commit themselves to marriage.

I hate somalis and their judgmental attitude! They don't look after themselves and look like a bunch of immigrants! You know Islam says look after your appearances but I guess they forget that and focus on War and Killing! I hate them! the old generation because they destroyed the country so there is nothing left for the you generations to come.
