You can't get to the bomb store anymore...at the end of the tunnel its just bricked up...was sooo pissed off.

the mines at the other end are dodgy, felt like they could collapse at coz the wood was all rotten and the walls were soggy.

My uncle worked there during the war (they lived in Box) and I worked there in the 1980s.
The fiction is sometimes more dramatic than the facts, but still one hell of a place, read Secret underground cities my Nick McCamley.

It's on the outskirts of Bath just off the main A4 to Chippenham.

Not as far as I know. There are supposed to be several ghosts in & around the Bath Stone Mines, And as this Bomb Store links up with the mine I guess that maybe the stories get mixed up. I will admit that there is a very spooky atmosphere down there, But that is probably just the dark & desolation of the place.

Bored teenagers I guess. You are right Jim, They have no respect. Apparently this bomb store goes for about 1.5 miles underground & links up with the Bath Stone mines. We plan to explore it more thoroughly next year.
