@IGiveMyLife2Follow I bet it's because when you talk with a closed throat there isn't as much echo in the room and then when you sing your throat is more open, so more resonance = more echo.

People say she sounds like she sucked helium but it's her voice and I love her. If you look at her and here her taking voice, you'll never know what she sounds like when she sings. The first time I heard her sing (in Wicked) I was like OH MY GOD!! One of my close friends is Kristin's height and when she told me I specifically pointed out to her "Josephine, you're exactly as tall as Kristin Chenoweth! I love you!"
