@gow2lol1 My comment was referring to the present situation in which Republicans have a majority in the Illinois congressional delegation. I agree with you that redistricting is likely to devastate Illinois Republicans, although we could be surprised. The Madigan map makes the Texas map look tame.

@lasvegasjh I recommend Canada (I am a dual citizen), the Conservatives have run the country great. Their economy rebounded a lot quicker than the United States. Canada is also a bit less politically divisive, but socially of course it is sharply divided with the language and religious barriers.

@lasvegasjh I might want to. I am in New York now. Illinois, California, and New York are going down because of their election choices. At least Topinka, Rutherford, and Kirk were elected, AND Illinois will be sending more Republicans to congress than Democrats for the first time in I think 4 or 6 years.
