I used to play this and Tactic Ogres on the PSX all the time. Also used to play Ogre Battle on the SNES. I know key members who worked on Ogre Battle for Quest later came to Square to work on FFT which explains the very similiar design and feel.

very nice game, is funny that it took 10 years for a tactical rpg to make such a big step forward just has FFT did, im talking about valkyria chronicles(2008).

This is the game that other companies try to emulate whenever they make a tactical RPG. This game is a legend.

Seriously one vs one duel with Weigrif is not cool. You had better hope you didn't train your hero as a mediator and save after the last battle! Lol

@garudoh they do have them, Mostly in the Front mission games, they are fairly similar, and their plots are just as good as FFT (at least FM3 and FM5).
