Toshiba 42SL417U - Power Board Problems

This is our third attempt with this model TV. The first set was a total wreck and got returned. The (replacement) second set came with the LED screen shattered. This third set has been doing this jumping/malfunctioning when it is turned on. A reset is required to (temporarily) solve the problem, but that messes totally with all your settings. The set also has a problem with adjusting itself to evening lighting conditions that causes it to go FULL BRIGHT then dim down and then back to FULL BRIGHT and dimming back down, etc. over and over. This also requires a reset. Sorry, Toshiba, this one should be on the scrapheap.
