@Mooshpups The DragonLord just goes like "lol you're screwed" and the whole screen freezes until you reset the game.
It sucks.

I remember getting a purple GameBoy Color for Christmas when I was seven years old from my parents and they gave me Dragon Warrior I and II with it. It will forever be one of my favorite Christmas presents of all time.

There are three different ways to really beat this game.
1: do not save the princess and beat the game. ending without her coming down
2: beat the game with her in your arms; she just pops down off your arms and next to you, asking once more to travel with you, to which she reappears in your arms again
3: the way you did it, rescue her, deliver her, then beat the dragon lord.
In #2 king never thanks you for rescuing her and you of course never get Gwendaline's love token :P

I remember the days of getting c's and d's on my report card because my father was stupid and bought me this game (and others like it) and the console. I just played it until my braincells turned into mush. I didn't come out all bad though, I clean toilets for a living and still play games.

why oh why...dont they redo this game...i loved it as a kid...it was right up there with final fantasy...but FF made alot better followups. Dragon warrior did ok at first...but then just got stupid and was forgotten....
I would love to see a 2012 Dragon Warrior...lol
