Nine to ten days after the full moon, we have the time honored tradition of the Hawaiian variety of the box jellyfish swarm into our beaches to spawn. Although the Hawaiian variety: Carybdea alata & the Carybdea rastonii isn't as poisonous as the Australian box jellyfish: Chironex Fleckeri, it still can inflict a painful sting similar to a wasp or yellow jacket. Only those who are alergic or sensitive to the venom, he/she will experience anaphylactic shock.
The Austraian box jellyfish sting can cause death, to small children as quicky as 25 seconds! Those who do survive the sting of the Australian box jelly will suffer serious pain for..... months!

As we say, "Lucky you live in Hawaii".

True! But once again, the HAWAIIAN species of Box Jelly is NOT deadly, unless you happen to be alergic to it's venom. The AUSTRALIAN speies. I will NOT be on the beach at all!

Since this video is a un-expected over 10,000 viewership, I will make an underwater video one day soon.....
