This is a video of a Samsung LCD TV - LN46A550 that stopped working about 4 months off warranty. I'm not an electrical engineer or a TV repairman. I'm actually a girl who has never soldered in my life. If I can do this, you can too!! I apologize in advance for all my "ums". I'm also NOT a professional speaker. :) Cheers!!

  • Yes, I too am now a believer! Thank you for posting this as the directions are very clear and easy to follow. The only trouble I ran into was that my local Radio Shack did not carry the capacitors that my TV required or even anything close. I ended up going by a TV repair shop and the gentleman sold me the 2 I needed for 5 dollars. When I told him I was using a Youtube video to fix my TV he laughted me right out of the store. Guess he was hopeing for more than the 5 buck he got out of me.

  • Who's laughing now eh? Cheers to you! :)

  • Wow! not bad for a girl. Seriously, though, I just got an email from Samsung regarding a settlement in a class action lawsuit, did a search and found your video. Darn capacitors! same problem my HP M8200N computer suffers. Apparently a bunch of faulty capacitors flooded the market. Knock on wood, my 46" flat screen has been working good, but it makes me want to open it up and check the capacitors. Thanks for the video.

  • For people who don't feel that they can't remove the old cap and solder in the new cap, you can bring your circuit board to a TV repair store and they can do it for you. It shouldn't cost more than 1/2 hours of labor.

  • Just wanted to let you know that I saw your video as a guide to fix my own tv (LNT4665f) and it worked like a charm! Thank you so much, go youtube

  • It's not like all guys know how to repair TV's. Being a girl doesn't matter.

    Great job!

  • bravo ..

  • I think you are an awesome lady. Nice job! My buddy has the same problem with his Samsung TV so I emailed him the link to your video.

  • I think she is a girl. She should mention that :D

    Anyways..great job girl!!

  • Good job !

  • Where you live at? You can come to my place and fix mine.

  • Lol, this is so staged. Who's the guy laughing inside whilst reading this. ;)
