Stick around until the 1:40 mark, trust me. ;)

How to create your own a capella tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0BLpoEYx4U et al

The ol' DLR Van Halen is back to belt out a classic and promote the newly released Microsoft Songsmith!!

Little something something I put together with the help of this here: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/f294560a-c545-4d1c-be53-6e7fac0...

Enjoy the derision through parody.

  • David Lee Roth was always a bad lounge act, you just put him in his environment.

  • I stuck around until 1:40 like you asked, but it didn't get any better.

  • I don't know what's worse, David Lee Roth and his open shirt or the music....

  • I especially love the ending :D

  • I almost pissed myself at 1:41

  • Is it strange that I prefer this one instead of the original?

  • Laughter explosion. This is a killer.

  • I nearly pissed myself laughing!!!! I used to play guitar in a rock band doing Van Halen covers! Songsmith is actually a cool little tool that's been taking too much flack. Sure the backgrounds are lame but the programming is deep and it's really aimed at a more amateur market. Hey, all I had to record on in my youth was a crappy little cassette player. Any background tracks popping out immediately lived in my imagination. Songsmith rocks!

  • you should be bitch slapped for this...!!!!!

  • I laughed until I cried - literally, had to wipe the desk because tears were falling - haven't laughed that hard in a longtime - awesome!

  • This is how David Lee Roth would have sounded if he was a Lounge Lizard....oh wait.

  • I dunno why but I laugh the hardest during the "solo" when Dave lets loose that kazoo and goes WOOOOOOOO! with that mellow backing
