The anthological final scene of this great film. With Ellen Burstyn , Sir Dirk Bogarde, Elaine Stritch, David Warner and the wonderful Sir John Gielgud.
Most critics agree that this is one of the very best films ever and i certainly agree. Not only the writing by David Mercer, but the acting of all the actors is simply stunning. The soundtrack, the writing, the acting, Resnais's directing and the editing are so good, it must have been very new at the time (early 70's) and you can see that this movie has changed the art of filmmaking, maybe together with MTV, as to be prepared for The Singing Detective or Six Feet Under.
Magnificent score by the great Miklos Rozsa.

...simply stunning, some of the very best moments in movie making history = a work of perfection!
....of course, it's unavailable on DVD in UK, alas!

i can't find the whole 11 parts. Although I'm a bit disappointed, thank you very much for this wonderful film. :)
