Esta é a comunidade que tem o objetivo de mostrar e preservar o vilarejo de São José de Ararapira, na região do Lagamar, entre a ilha do cardoso e a divisa dos estados do Paraná e São Paulo.

Ararapira já foi uma vila, chegou a ter 500 habitantes, lá vendia-se até tecidos ingleses..., hj é uma vila fantasma! alusão feita as ruínas lá existentes e ao cemitério encravado no meio da mata fechada...
