I think he believes if he says it enough, it will make it true. The fundamentals of our economy are strong. He sure seems to believe it. Either that or he has literally run out of things to say.
What is distressing is that he has admitted that the economy is NOT his strong point - something he has not given much regard to. So, what does he do to counter-balance that?
He hires someone who has had absolutely NO national economic experience - and this after kicking out Phil Graham, his previous economic adviser who said Americans were just whining and problems in the United States were psychological. America's problems were in American's 'minds' only.
Tell that to the administration which is NOW TAKING OVER THE MORTGAGE LENDERS FANNIE MAY AND FREDDIE MAC.
Folks, the fundaments of this Bush McCain economy are NOT strong. He is NOT the person we need to take this country back onto the road of prosperity and McCain Palin, between them, have next to no economic prowess.
There you go. If you think that knowledge that is necessary to run this country can be 'downloaded' in 2 months time, then you'll want to vote for Bush/McCain/Palin --
If you think, however, that it takes more than just a few talking points from advisers, and indeed takes a strong minded, highly engaged pair of SMART and FUNCTIONAL Economic leaders, you'll think very carefully about that vote of yours.
That's all I'm sayin'
Oh, and to McCain and his choice of Palin as V.P.
Good luck with that.

You have no proof of anything, you need to read about the presidents BEFORE them and the spending.

The Fundamentals of McCain's pocket book is strong!
myVIPspot 3 years ago
What fundamentals is he talking about? He is the one who pointed out the dangerous flaws in the policies that brought us the Community Reinvestment Act, Fannie and Freddie. Apparently even he did not know how fundamentally unsound these policies and everything connected with them were.
The most fundamentally unsound policy no one talks about yet is to allow people to speculate with real estate since speculative land value can, does, and has on many previous occasions disappeared overnight.

Apparently it was strong enough to withstand nearly 10 days of "it's all going to end tomorrow if we don't do something today!!!".
