I think they are planting 'sick' seeds in people's minds. Placebos have helped alot of people also. And, those med companies like most doctors HATE 'Healers' that heal most of their customers for little to nothing and take their customers away from them. Commercials are exactly like Black Magic. Parma meds used to be safe, but no more. It can kill people faster than they would if they didn't take them.

Oh dear. What the presenters seem to have done here is just read an article in the Guardian and assumed it was true. Hint: don't believe everything you read in the papers.

Read the original (can't seem to post the link, but just google "How drug companies' PR tactics skew the presentation of medical research"), and have a look at the comments, where a number of people who actually know what they're talking about point out the many ways in which the article is just plain inaccurate.

There are no payments made to physicians for authorship of primary data in medical journals. Young Turks have this plain wrong here. Also, the papers are NOT ghostwritten – the professional writers who help are acknowledged. Politicians ARE talking about this too. Really, you have to check your facts before you start waving your arms about like this. AND, Vioxx was YEARS ago; there has been plenty of regulation put in place since then. Hint: read the comments on the Guardian article!!!!
