Speedflying with Ozone Bullets and Swoops

25 mile per hour winds on top of the hill, to much for a full size glider, but not for these small wings.

So the bullet is made by ozone the traction kite company? Or is it a kite that can also be used for speedflying?

Yes it's the same Ozone, they make great kites as well as paragliders. The wing in the video is the Bullet by Ozone, made for speed flying. There has been some talk about using a speed glider as a kite, but I think you would be better off flying a paraglider, then kiting with a kite. I had limited success with my SkiM15 and rollerblades, lines were just too short. My Skim15 has A and B lines, I was going to try to use the A's and brakes with a kiting bar, but gave up on the idea.

I saw an Ibex on the hill Sunday 20 May 07, I think this wing will get many more people into foot launched speed flying. I'm hoping to get to fly an Ibex next weekend at Demo days, I'd like to compare trim speed between the Ibex 15 and 19. With a Wind meter on my SKIM15, trimmers full off on a 1500 foot descent, I had a trim speed of 70km/hr, I don't think the Ibex can quite match those speeds, but I also believe my L/D at 70km/h was below 3 :)

what a fucking tool. that comment just proves that you most likely have never spent a SECOND under a high performance skydive parachute. that would be like a BASE jumper calling a skydiver a pussy, and telling them to "really have some fun" and go flick a 90 foot span, stowed.

Glide ratio for skydiving rigs is piss poor compared to rigs built for speedflying. There are plenty of paragliding pilots who also skydive and already know what you know about piloting and then some. 67sqft canopy eh? You might as well ask the avg skydiver to put a bullet in their head as the grave is where they will ultimately end up on such a canopy. Get off your high horse skygod.

PUUUUAalse, skydivers can do this about a million times better, just go watch any of there swooping contests. If you guys really want to have some fun get under a skydiving wing, jump an icarus 67sq feet!, then we talk about clenching your butt cheeks!! skydiving canopies will hugely out peform these busses!

Ur a douchebag, I kite and there is no rush like it. Hitting 60mph on skis riding the wind, getting 35 foot jumps. Is speedflying awesome? HELL YES!!!! But when push comes to shove, put my in a paraglider, or hook my to my kites.
