  • Whenever I hear this I get goose bumps! Joe S. was the musician who, when he died, left a big void. It's the only time I really regretted a musician passing, as I usually accept reality is taking us all there. This time I didn't feel that way, and I still regret it that he died. I wish there were a Million Songs by The Clash and Strummer. I like the 101ers too. Really great part of my life, The Clash and This stuff!

  • just adore this song ... sounds so good.. viva Joe.. thanks for everything.. made music just that bit more for me ...

  • Doo-Lang, Doo-Lang ;) R.I.P. JS~ MAG.

  • Point taken, but I think you overlooked the grammar and syntax of my post. I wasn't asking what the song's actually 'about' (hence the absence of a comma after 'about'). It was a rhetorical question, as in, 'What is it about this guy?!', which, come to think of it, would've worked just as well. In many ways, we don't need to know what the song is about, exactly. Rather, as I said, it has an elegiac quality: sweet, sad, romantic, perplexing. Thanks for he reply, though@Scoot0Millar

  • @StonefieldJim4 The song is about Glastonbury Festival, Joe went every year and there is now a memorial area for him and his charity; Strummerville.
