As originally composed by the German master, Hungarian Dance No. 5 in F-sharp minor, an Allegro
Perhaps ubiquitous but still one of my favorites of Brahms great works. The orignial version which was composed for piano for four hands offers nuances and flashes of originality, varying from the solo piano version which Brahms later transcribed and the orchestral work which was transcribed by Martin Schmeling.
