  • the hand drill used in this vid is called a Brace & bit i have a couple of them wich i have no intention on useing sinse i have power lol, the brace has a rachet reverse on it to incase the bit gets stuck in the timber

  • @CastingStonez some people used to do exactly what he did for the first logs, just peg and notch the whole thing with logs and flatten the tops, made a solid insulated floor.

  • @JMEMantzel I seen gravel, too

  • very educational vedio it was very cool

  • GIVE HER A MEDAL FOR USING THE HAND BRACE !

  • @JMEMantzel would also T AND G BOARDS ?

  • @JMEMantzel

Okay... might be a stupid question coming from a flat lander who just moved to the local mountains in SoCal...

"How did he plain the logs flat?" I know he used his chain saw... but staying true to a straight line had to be a bitch... so... How?"

    thanks very much...

  • @vallonia

    thanks,

    God bless

  • @CastingStonez see " Alone in the Wilderness" by swererbob here on you tube, for another way of doing it.
