Eye of the Storm uses video footage shot by the police at events in Portland, OR to confirm how the police target citizens engaged in constitutionally protected acts of protest for harassment, assault, and arrest. The police, by their own admission, assault law-abiding protesters without provocation then lie about being provoked. These lies were carried and repeated ad-nauseum by the corporate media without any regard for the truth. The corporate media is shown being complicit in, even supportive of flagrant police misconduct. Those perceived as leaders by the police are often singled out for surveillance, assault, and arrest regardless of the fact that those individuals have broken no laws and committed no crimes. The police kept this footage despite laws prohibiting the collection of information on individuals engaged in political dissent. The police stated that activist video footage only told one side of the story, now everyone can see the other side.
Problem being is, one we are supposed to be allowed to have free speech! But this kind of thing could hurt your chances of getting a job, especially if it's a job where their is a majority of their employee's and or employer's who are Republicans.

I can understand why the authorities have to do this. In this day and age its hard to tell when too much information is too much. When you get these assholes who think going into a crowd with a bomb strapped to thier ass and blowing the shit out of innocent people in the name of god then it might be a good idea to keep an eye on things . you can't have it both ways without pissing someone off.
Mind you the authorities can take things too far too often.
Thanks for posting
Cheers

What was the official reason for that guy's arrest? They collect all that info from people because they are operating from paranoia. I presume that that is how they are trained to think. I thought that police were equal to citizens until a law is broken. How would this type of training be wise, never mind legal?
