Read here for a guide on how to defeat the forgotten one:

To obtain the epic victory achievement your main challenge will be to beat the demon known as the forgotten one.
The key to victory is patience as you will be spending most of your time dodging attacks rather than dealing them out yourself.
This video is meant to indicate how to defeat the forgotten one.
His attack are the same throughtout all the sections of the battles against him. so this method works at any point in the game.

Get familiar with his attack pattern and keeping your distance to encourage him to initiate his three long range attacks which are:
- The direct chain attack smashed into the ground towards you.
- The chain attack smashed into the ground either left or right of you then sragged across the floor into the opposite direction.
- The five consequently spears he summons and throws after you.
(he might also jump at you creating a ground pound or dash. Avoid those attacks and wait for him to make on of the three above mentioned attacks)

Sprint towards him and use attacks such as the aerial finisher guillotine upgrade (in air hold x button).
This is particulary efficient once you need to use aerial attacks to hit his vunerable areas.
If you take too long dealing out attacks you will be punished for it nearly every single time.
To avoid taking unnecessary risks it is advised not to string several attacks together but keep it short instead so you have enough time to escape retaliation.
In the video you'll notice me doing more than just executing the guillotine upgrade attack.. Only do this if you feel confident in what you're doing as it might backfire on you.
When using aerial attack his has a tendency of countering with a horizontal claw slash which doesn't connect often as demonstrated in the videoclip.

Save up dark magic to inflict additional damage in the last sequence of the battle as he increases his speed in it and you'll want to rid yourself of as much hassle as possible (he's quite annoying enough as it is).

Another tip is to reload checkpoints if you feel you lost too much health.
You have to fight him twice in resurrection.
Once in the first chapter which has two sections of the actually battle and then again in the second chapter which has three sections.
You'll receive a new checkpoint everytime you destroy a piece of his armour.
When you have taken away enough of his health he will use one of his special attacks.
At this point if you're very low on health or wasted a lot of magic you might want to consider redoing the part you were at, as the game gives you a checkpoint as soon as you succesfully complete the quick time event.
You might potentially get stuck or at least make things much more complicated than need be if you don't have enough health and magic going into the next part of the battle.

Between the two chapters it may also be a good idea to revisit a previous chapter in the game to recover health and magic before continuing on.

  • @JBOTTSIOWA well...i think some people hate it, despite it being an awesome game, because its a huge huuuge step away from the standard castlevania formula.

  • @UnivingIshiro Ah ok Thanks so much :D

  • @luffylawkidd Steps:

1-Buy Microsoft Points in a store or XBL(recomendation:buy it in Wal-Mart or Gamestop)

    2-Redeem the code in it

    3-Spend them!

Note:You must have XBL account and somethings are only avaliable to Gold members.

  • This ain't a bad game... is a BAD Castlevania game... because it has nothing to do with the series. Castlevania Curse of Darkness was way better than this... I hate that Gabriel can't level up to become Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger...

Anyways... I have enjoyed this game so far, but not as much as I did with other Castlevania games, like Order of Ecclessia, Symphony of the Night or Curse of Darkness

  • This is some star wars shit the newest one is the first one really well they minus well come out with a game having all the Belmonts on there but wait Gabriel killed his wife and he's Dracula where does his son come from im to high right now nevermind

  • Hey can someone tell me how you download this extra content for the game? I've never dowloaded anything to an xbox 360 before and I would like to know how if someone'll help me please.^^

  • The plains LoS was better I thought.

  • @Xenebrius too easy.

  • um intresting theroy i have... gaebrial went back in time to destroy the forgoten one ... and he does as you all know. but remains in that time period and munipulates the events takeing the lords of shodow under his controle creating an alternate reality, they cant destroy him. he assumes comand probly ends up saveing victor frankinstien to creat the monster too. im thinking this is how he gets his minions. leaveing the brotherhood with the task of destroying him. thus a new hero is born. maybe.

  • @2Good2BeTrue45 yah I'm waiting for the sequel, cant wait!

  • @JBOTTSIOWA only a small amount hate it, a BIG portion gave it near perfect scores and reviews and sold more than 2 million, and a sequel is coming

this game is incredible and got me back into Castlevania after Castlevania Curse of Darkness
