Boomerang: 5 Catches in 14.45 seconds

A practise throw first, then it starts...5 throws and catches, every throw travelled out more than 20m and back.
Location: competition in Chambery (F) in 2005.

That's the boomerang which is "cutting" the air. Since the speed is very high (about 30m/sec at release) one can hear a sound.

No, definitely not! The sound is authentic and so loud, because the boomerang has one small hole (6mm diameter) at each wingtip.

I know that sound. Some of my rangs sounds nearly equal. ;-)

For not-Bomerangers:

Because of the holes (near the end of the wings), the bomerang will turn slowlyer at the end and slow down it's forward-flight. That makes this fast things a bit easyer to catch... :-)
