This has to be the 'definitive' British Gangster film of its time. I still love the film and its great to see that both the film, and the late author, Ted Lewis (who wrote the novel 'Jack's Return Home in 1970, on which it is based) have been actually recognised.

Now how about a GTA Game based like GTA but based on Get Carter in the UK. now that would sell millions, top clip :)

They already did a GTA game based on Get Carter. It was the extension to GTA 1 - GTA London.

Actually the whole Budd soundtrack is excellent. This film was the first major film to be made in Newcastle.
