CRYSIS PENTIUM 4

p4 HT 3.4 @ 3.6 GHZ, 2GB ram, 7950gt 512 mb AGP, 320 GB hard drive, recorded by fraps. with fraps on 15 to 20 fps; without fraps max: 52fps until now, min: 19 fps,, normal I play it at 25 to 35 fps.
reslution 1024, every thing in high detail... it lag on the video becaus of fraps that kils fps other wise it runs great....

@sparta - P4 is garbage compared to the cost of a mid-range core2duo, the only reason this guy is doing ok is because Crysis is a GPU based game, my e6600 is usually 30% use when I play Crysis

pentium 4 are dead.... theirs is a hugh increases from p4 to core2duo, but not much from core2duo to quad, cause as you said this is more gpu based game... with my e7200 their isnt any real difrence from 2.54 ghz to 3.16...or even to 3.6 ghz... but I also have 9800gt... its not that powerfull to be bottelnecked

Yep..if have a good Graphics Card to run along with it it is a very good CPU..I bought a Dual core and switched back to my P4 HT 630 because I seen no difference at all...

@mickelfchaves It's Quite simple , if you are increasing the cpu and there is no difference in performance then the video card is bottle necking the cpu , the video card is to weak for the cpu.

no, man! not mind! this is impossible .... I also have a p4 HT 3.20h, and when I destroy homes, the fps drops sharply to 6~ 10

p4 is best i can have on my board. If i want better i got to buy a new board, taht means a new video card too. Sucks...

It might be a gpu intensive game, but it clearly wasn't desinged or the pentium 4 or the HT model. You need at least a core 2 duo to play this game right even with a good graphics card.
