They are a bitch to run, especially on anything less than 26" radius. Check out one video to help you tweak these to run better (Athearn Bombardier Car Mod's HO 1:87) . Basically you need to give the truck a bit more play, change the couplers, and file the diaphrams flat.

and they advertise them as "ready to run" because I had the same problem with my GO Transit Cars.

purchase a wheel guage. i had the same problem with my TRE set. once i guaged the wheels they run a lot better. also it helps to have a wider radius on your curves.

I have similar problems with my Athearn Tri-Rail coaches, they easily incouple. I also noticed the height of the coaches compared to my Kato SD90 is quite alot.
