Ah, yes. The good ol' Media Home Entertainment "Space Logo". I remember this from early Charlie Brown specials releases (here in Canada they were released by Astral Video), before they went to its Hi-Tops Video subsidiary.
"Halloween" had this logo. I remember "Halloween" when it was released on VHS back in the early 1980's, but it had the logo shown right before the film. Credit goes to the AVGN for reviewing the first "Halloween" film as part of "Cinemassacre's Monster Madness - Sequel-A-Thon".
Whenever I saw this logo and heard that theme I knew it was time to leave the room before I saw a something really scary, especially the beggining of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
How many VHS tapes did I eventually watch which opened with this logo? Don't ask. Every time I see this, I immediately think of George A.Romero's Day of the Dead (which was one of the earliest instances where I bought the actual tape instead of recording a horror film off of pay cable)..thanks to multiple viewings of that VHS, this logo (and the UFDC logo which followed right after) are forever emblazoned upon my brain.
