This is my thirty-third AMV. The anime is Area 88, while the song is "Mighty Wings" by Cheap Trick. Here is a link for anybody interested in the amv: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=151988

  • Either you or your uncle is a liar. I am a professor of history and a published historian, and the top American ace in Vietnam is Charles deBellevue, with six kills; he was a USAF F-4 backseater. The top ace of the war was Nguyen Van Coc, a VPAF MiG-21 pilot with nine kills.

I will agree that the F-8 and MiG-21 were and are better dogfighters--but the F-4 got the bulk of kills. That's historical fact, and no amount of wishful thinking can change it.

  • i like the part when the f-14 burst out of the flames

  • i like the part when the harrier hovered on the oasis

  • @Sentinel28A Yeah, but in my personal opinion the only reason why the F-4 got most of the kills was simply because so many of them were produced, only the US Navy used the F-8 Crusader and was starting to retire them towards the end of the war. The North Vietnamese Air Force didn't have many MiGs at a single time because although more were rolling out of the factory, some were out getting shot down. And after the F-4E and top gun established, didn't it put the F-4's kill to loss ratio to 12-1

  • @StreetRacer117 Could be just the angle we see his head and it just sticks uo and out like that, if my hair did that I'd do something about it though! And too be a badass, mysterious fighter you need a fitting paint job.

  • Awesome video.

  • @dbirdsofprey F-5's maiden flight : 30 July 1959. F-16's maiden flight: 2 February 1974. So no, it isn't a "ground attack version" of the F-16.

  • It's realy sad thing's are so ''pc'' now. It would be great if they came up with on a network here in the states. But some one would be butt hurt over it couse of the modern political side of it, or some kids mom would flip out over her kid watching a ''violent'' cartoon, left wing idiots would cry about it, bla, bla, bla .

Hellsing, Black Lagoon, Area 88, they all need to be on carttoon network not this ''sponge bob'' bullshit !

  • @Skybolter its shit f-22 for the win

  • @hewhogoverns no the f-5 was built as a ground attack version of the f-16 and no on but iraq and japan got theam

  • @dbirdsofprey

Wait. What? Are you smoking crack? The F-5 was developed at least ten years prior to the F-16. The F-5 Freedom Fighter saw combat in Vietnam. The F-16 wasn't even invented yet. How can the F-5 be an imitation if it came first?

  • @Skybolter yea but they where built to do 2 differt things
