I can understand why Ihsahn would want to openly pull the plug on his Satanic Status, especially in those years were black metal started to become mediocre, childish, trendy and down-right annoying. But I've paid close attention to him and his philosophies and I wouldn't say that this has changed at all. In fact, they have advanced and progressed a lot, its so obvious that he leaves it dangling out in the open air. Most people wouldn't understand what I'm saying here...

The funny thing about all this is that Ihsahn is just a happy normal small town hick (yet refined) family man nowadays. So he's learned to resolve the paradox of Satanism. No, you don't have to go around killing Christians to be a Satanist, nor do you have to be some deranged loser with no money friends or loved ones. You can in fact be a creative, successful, and normal guy.
