Buddy plays "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and "My Time After Awhile", straight from his album "A Man And The Blues", with some British friends.

  • @supralee no offence at all, but I think you're missing something - as are the legions of heavily schooled guitarists. All technique no soul. Buddy's the man, he's a force of nature. Breathtaking guitarist =)

  • haha at 0:38 it looks like the drummer is hitting buddy on the head hahaha

  • @mauriciowall its around, in the small towns, in the little clubs all over, it just doesn't get promoted

  • Why "2012" can't do such amazing music like "1969"

  • Man! Have you ever thought that if someone like Muddy Waters (!) wanted him in his Folk-singer album there was a reason? He's maybe the best blues player ever birth in Earth (cause Hendrix and Johnson are not human!), speed and anything else in blues are really connected with personality, he's emotion goes like his speed. Look out! Buddy Guy is amphetamine. And his voice? No soul...please...try to find your brain somewhere inside your closet.

  • He's an explosive vocalist and a bombastic guitarist. I've seen him a few times live and it seems he put's every ounce into every performance too. Argue technique and style all day long but Buddy is a force to be reckoned with no matter how you slice it.

  • I really love buddys guitar playing style, I love to listen to him but i hate all those blues fans. "Oh, hes not good but he has got soul", "Every fast player hasnt soul". And yes, guitar playing is not about speed. But saying that fast players with great technique have no soul is just stupid and ignorant!

  • @Xaffax if i am wrong i say it.but in this case just to please u in blues you can play dirty.and buddy can play in that way and only in that way.that is so obvious.clapton plays too clean.so it becomes all dry.in perfect world if buddy has the skills of clapton he would be great indeed.:)so the question is who has more life in it surely buddy over clapton in any given day:)in that sense less skills guitar player can play better than good one u right

  • @supralee No he's speaking about Buddy because he loves his music. But for that to register your ego would have to admit that you are totally wrong and do not understand too much about Blues. And you are one of those really really stupid people who can't admit that they are wrong about anything.Really sad.

  • @supralee Buddy Guy is one of the most emotional and sensitive players I have ever heard. He moves me to tears. When the pain drives you to lose your mind that's what Buddy expresses like no one else can. And Clapton sterile??? Yeah I bet you think and the pope is muslim and hiding it real well.

  • This track sounds as if recorded for TV. Recorded by BBC. 22 YEARS before the monster Damn Right I've Got the Blues. Quality dependent on uploader's care - did he EQ it fix it up - doesn't sound like it. Youtube mp3 - download and convert to AAC or AIF, then multitrack it in Garageband with 24 band EQ at least..

  • @Xaffax i havent read anything.i just listen and see that he has difficulties to express himself on guitar.and as his nature is not to be shy he just puts all else on line to get attention he wants.buddy is not good guitar player but great showman.nobody ever can openly say that because respect of the man.and now another god-man,clapton,he is guitar player indeed but luck of charm and strong emotions makes him sterile and little dry.u will fell sleep really quick or fake its great:)
