i do not think any jazz pianist blues pianist did surpass or  has surpassed meade lux lewis the tempo of this piece artculation of phrase and dynamics of accent reveal and demonstrate enormous natural virtuosity it is not the same as tatums tiger rag but just as astonishing and musically much more powerfull think of beethoven and the slamming and banging in many of his piano sonatas at one time lewis and tatum both played in the same club and each admired the other bit of a hard act to follow.
