do you plug in the i-pod's usb cable to the usb connection in your car to listen to music on your i-pod? also, why did your i-pod give the "do not disconnect" warning when you had it plugged in? can you play videos off your i-pod on the i-drive system? finally, can you plug in other usb devices, such as an external gps?

that is correct, plug in the usb-cable and you can listen to your music on the ipod.

why the ipod gave the warning? No idea, and to date nothing ever happened when I disconnected it.

Never tried to play video's, so unfortunately I cannot help you with that.

Yes, you can plug in external devices, however I only tried my USB-stick untill now (with music on it).
