It shouldn't matter how good the lens is. I always thought that the photographer made the photo good?

Nah its about 80% good camera good lens ,15% a person who understands what they are doing with the lens and camera so the shot turns out ok and maybe 5% artistry. If you have one of these cameras,, seriously look at lenses if your photos are not turning out too well.

the kit lense can still capture some great shots though. maybe not enough for the professional level, but awesome yet in still. i think there's an L series 24-108mm lens out. sweetness beyond measure...
