  • how old r u?

  • @janssenlee I was about 13 at the time

  • thanks everyone for all of the encouraging and positive comments! i really appreciate them.

  • Some artists play this faster, some slower. There's no one "correct" tempo.

mikhsoj20: there are different versions of this waltz, some are easier than others and are designed for smaller hands which can't span octaves.

  • of course there's no "correct" tempo. however, in my personal opinion, playing it fast simply sucks the emotion out of it and does not allow for very good expression. :)

  • little bit more tempo would be better

  • different strokes for different folks, imho. i've looked at some of the other videos of this waltz here on youtube and i feel like they're all too fast. this is a waltz! that means you should be able to dance to it as a human, not some robot. no need to turn it into a race :)

  • Please share more if you can - you play with a lot of sensitivity for the music.

  • @lensovet Again, so true. You got it just right!

  • @lensovet I entirely agree - I wouldn't play it any faster.

  • You played awesome! But if you can, record yourself and share again. Sound of this video is not good and i can't hear it very well...

  • Most classical pieces sound better when played slowly, at least in my opinion. Think of this: In the pub it may earn you respect to gulp down as much beer as possible in the shortest time you can. But when have you ever seen a person boozing an exquisite wine that way? A good wine usually tastes best when you give it time to unfurl, exploring every nuance attentively.

  • We listened to a lot of versions of this Valse and really do not like the faster ones but prefer to hear this valse slow

  • Bravisimo

  • BROVO ! Have your teacher enter you in the Piano Teachers Society of America competition.... you should be playing in Carnegie Hall ....
