This is a recorded message to my congresswoman, Lois Capps. I have included clips from the Town Hall meeting. The uproars were minimal and saved to the end of the meeting so nothing terribly exciting to hear.

  • Also, Judas, keep knocking out military, we'll be their for you the next time you need help.

  • Well now your contradicting yourself... you CANNOT INSURE against anything that will undoubtedly happen. U have to see a doctor so insuring that you wont is very expensive seeing as you will. Vegas doesn't take bets on an all black roulette table buddy. And since you refuse answer my question Canada pays a much higher progressive tax than America to fund their health care, which undoubtedly contributes to your far lower GDP.

  • No Canadians, the richest or the poorest, has to pay out of pocket for health care. That is how you really judge the worth of a nation, not by how it treats its rich, but how it treats it's poor. The poorest people in Canada ALWAYS have access to health care. The fact that the US can leave 40% of it's citiizens without access to health care shows that, depite it's grandiose pretensions, in fact the US is a third world nation based on how it treats it's poor.

  • Just for your information, the dozens of Americans who have moved to Canada that I've talked to all love Canadian health care and prefer it to what they had in the US.

  • Oh, well, ok you convinced me... the US IS that corrupt, bgackward, and inferior to other nations...you keep on making that point, don't you? No wonder so many Americans are moving to Canada.

  • If you had any experience in Canada, you would realize how faulty you thinking is. It's laughable how backward Americans like you are. You need psychiatric help for your distorted, paranoid view of government. Corporations are and shopuld be far less powerful that you make thgem out to be. If corporations were that powerful then the who natikon would be corrupt. Then again, I guess you keep on making the point that the US is totally distortred corrupt and inferior to most other nations.

  • BTW, there is no such thing as government run health care. Candian health carte is only funded by government, it is run by physicians. It is in the US that you have outside interernce between patyeints and physwicians, by insurance company bureaucrats. In Canada, government pays the bill, but has absolutely no say in medical decisions. Canadian patients and physicians make medical decisions make medical decisions wihout outside interference. Americans are the ones with outside interference.

  • 40% is the number of uninsured (17%) and the number with some minimal insurance grossly insufficient to meet their needs (23%),. Every ciommentg you make reinforces my proposition that Canadian health care is FAR superior to US health care, since 100% of Canadians have access to the kind of care you claim it is impossible for the US to provide. I'm glad ypou garee with me that US health care is dismal and woefully indequate for Americans.

  • Assuming that there are 40% of Americans who are uninsured (a gross overestimate) and they rarley get care then expanding our existing care system to include them would undoubtedly lead to shortages (and higher prices due to increased demand), thus health care like every other product is a limited resource. All govt run health care does is distribute this resource unjustly from those that CHOOSE to purchase it (with their own dollars) to those that choose not to.
