thanks for sharing, I'll never forget the chilling report that the ship and it's crew may of went down and then the later reports the Superior was to rough to recover the ship or any of it's crew members believed to all still be on board due to being hit without any warning that waters had turned angry. November waters we know survival was not likely due to many factors but mostly the temps of he water. Superior never warms even in our long, hot summer days.

this is a great ballad...i play this song over and over and over....it has such great meaning my uncle was a sailor and my dad was in WW2

We, of the United States Coast Guard did our best to locate any survivors. What we found were the ghosts of 29 crew members. Gordon, who is a good friend of mine, did his best to recount the events leading up to this terrible tragedy.
