wow obama has such strong media control. whole world knows musilm revolution will come so there trying to make the sunni and shea in iraq,afghanistan and soon to be pakistan fighting eachother so they make sure theses nations don't get stronger and stop pakistan nuclear program.

Crocker is a crock of shit! Just look at the manner he answers a question about success, I've seen people working at Subway making sandwiches with more confidence.
MAybe we should tell Crocker what to do, just like the people that make our sandwiches.
The end is coming, one way or another... with the result the same... our troops will be coming home, the question is what home will look like when they do?

Obama says that Al Qaeda in Afghanistan feels more secure while we are focusing on Iraq.
First, US troops in Afghanistan has been recently increased by 3,000. Thus, the surge in Iraq has not been made at the expenses of COIN in Afghanistan. Second, how could the two operations be dissociated ? Even if AQI is not AQ in Afganistan, to weaken AQI is to weaken AQ as a whole : its ideology as well as its forces.
Success needs the US to adopt a joint vision about this region.

Crocker is supposed to be an Ambassador? I think we can do better with someone who already knows things are "hard and complicated." He sounds like the President when he said, "Being President is hard work, hard, hard work." Comical and sad.
