  • everything is in tune, but my bridge is REALLY high, what do I do? I have the three springs back pretty much all the way tightened

  • @theblackdawn13 It sounds like you need to back those two screws out that are in the spring cavity ... back them out, tune up, back out more, re-tune, repeat until you have everything balanced out & the bridge is flat.

  • @jeffersononetwo that was in the back of my mind xD

  • @Arcanethefat ... negative: you would have to loosen those & re-tune to redistribute the string tension. I think you knew that tho ;)

  • @jeffersononetwo so if my bridge was low i would tighten the screws up at the back?o.O

  • @jeffersononetwo Would a change of strings change that too? I will put 10s as soon as possible and would normal graphite have the same results as the paste?

  • @xXxglassgowdreamxXx Maybe it will work itself out with more stretching and use of the strings ... you might try a little graphite paste in the nut-grooves as well. I've had several to do just that and basically I'd just have to sub-consciously lightly bump the bridge when I expected that to happen - I think it might be the strings slightly grabbing at the nut.

  • @jeffersononetwo I have the bridge leveled, action is good, but when I pull up on the bridge, the bridge doesn't come back leveled. There is nothing wrong when I push down, stays in tune, comes back to zero point, but when I pull up, it stays a little sharp. The only way it comes back is if I dive down again, Any suggestions on what I should do and what the problem is?

  • @jeffersononetwo actually that would be the opposite of what he should do if the bridge is sitting too high, just saying lol and if the springs are all the way tightened black then you might want to try smaller gauge strings and if you like the gauge try looking for some stronger springs at a guitar shop

  • could i use 9 gauge strings to tune to drop c and b?

  • @theblackdawn13 or use an extra spring....
