In the zone 20-30 km from the damaged nuclear power plant in Japan, the children whose parents have decided not to evacuate them are heading back to school amidst abnormally high levels of radiation and toxic rain.

This is part 3 of a behind the scenes look of what happened during the filming of the latest feature documentary by Ian Thomas Ash and Colin O'Neill.

  • I am very much liking your work and I plan to look up other things that you have done. Let me know if you EVER need ANY kind of music (I do any genre) for what you do. I think this disaster may be the defining disaster of our time to many degrees and most people here in the USA are like stupid cattle and have no idea how bad this is and could still be.

  • @samfrompasingtime Thank you so much for watching and for your offer of support! I really appreciate it. Please continue to keep people aware of the continuing problems that people are facing here.

  • You tube has you all out of order and messed up but I LOVE your work. You are one brave man-if this is you- or suffice to say this man is brave, hows that? lol

  • @samfrompasingtime Thank you so much for watching. I am not brave (this is Ian, but the way!). I am only in these areas for a week at a time while filming (I live in Tokyo). The brave people are those that live and work in these areas day in and day out. Thank you for keeping these people in your thoughts.

  • ;( I don't know what else to say... It's heartbreaking. ....and Ian, I really want to thank you for doing this. I worry for your safety too, so...please take care.

  • @ayencab Thank you for worrying about my safety... but I am only there for a week at a time AND I have a choice. It is these children that we should be worried about. Please help me keep their story alive. Thank you for your support!
