He introduces the concept of the parasympathetic nervous system which is an automatic part of your nervous system which controls how you effectively relax and enjoy normal body function. The integrity of the brainstem area affects how well your parasympathetic nervous system functions. If there is irritation or pressure at this area, normal body function may be adversely affected and this can lead to poor health and the decreased ability to handle normal everyday stresses.
