  • do you know if settings and score are saved, as well as pows?

  • @darklagoon1 I believe the NGCD version saves high scores and progress (there is a level select) after you beat a level.

  • Great game i played this on an arcade machine in 1996 and on neo geo pocket color.

  • @JulienFrederic I really wanted to try out the NGPC versions. How do they compare?

  • This game looks AMAZING for the Neo Geo CD, thanks for the review, ive never seen it on the Neo Geo.

  • @Adowel123 This game IS amazing :D Thanks for the comment, haven't watched these older videos in a while.... I think i need to revisit this one ;)

There is 2 episodes of metal slug for the NGPC the first one is a good shooting game out in 1999 with the 3 characters, the tank and some shoot levels with a fighter and the second is only in japanese, i guess, with better sounds and better graphics, better game...

  • The best Neo Geo AES game is Metal Slug 3. Second best is Pulstar and than Metal Slug. I liked only these three games for the AES, MVS and the CDZ. I uses the Super MVS Converter 2 with the MVS version Metal Slug on the AES. I paid 50 euro for the MVS version of Metal Slug and 250 euro for the Super MVS Converter 2. The best way is playing on a real Neo Geo than on the Saturn, PS, PS2, PSP, PSN, XBOX, XBLA and on a Wii.

  • Thank you all for the kind words! I think I paid $70 for this, it's better than most modern games @ $60 a pop. I was surprised this wasn't on XBLA or PSN, Playmore needs to get to work.

  • Very nice review. Still my favourite game in the series and essential for any Neo Geo owner. I can't imagine anyone not liking this game. Like you I also have this on NGCD. The extra content is great and also the load times are pretty short.
