Its funny because if you actually did most of the stuff this video told people to do you wouldn't last more than 30 minutes.

@TheSCEPOLO2012 maybe that's what they wanted people to believe, in order to win the war in case of being bombed by nuclear weapons. i guess they already knew the true consequences of radiation, but letting people know them would cause panic and reduce the weapon production and stuff
