The last in a series of campaign films produced by a UK charity, the National Autistic Society. A man with Asperger's Syndrome is fascinated when he witnesses a cyclist being run over, but becomes frightened and confused as others arrive on the scene and shout at him.

  • It kind of paints autistics/people with Asperger's Syndrome in a bad light. I mean, they may get distracted by sounds and sights in life-threatening situations, but they can be extremely compassionate exponents of humanitarian causes, too. Consider Temple Grandin and the cattle chute she invented to make animal slaughter more humane (if it can ever be regarded as such).

  • This is a example of severe AS I would say. I know to call 911 if this happens and I have AS. This man here couldn't see the overall picture and looked at the little details instead and was focused on it. But it did look exaggerated.

  • I have autism but if there was a guy unconscious I would still call a ambulance still...

  • What BS! They might as well show the Aspie stealing the guy's money.

  • My FIRST thought in this situation would be to call an ambulance! And I have Aspergers. Seriously, I felt like screaming at that guy

  • I like the sound of clicking bike tires. :3 But I would call 911.

  • I have Asperger's. If I were in that sort of situation my anxiety would go up and I would start freaking out. I have enough trouble dealing with strangers on the phone. I am not sure I would be able to call 911 in the event of an accident.

  • This guy is the UK Chris-Chan!

  • of course it was exaggerated,it needed too be to get the point accross.

  • @ReReShow80 Were did you get that from? To me it was a lot more that he couldn't comprehend quite what was happening. I think you watch too many bad films/programmes with bad actors in it.

  • @ReReShow80 He didn't look like he was enjoying at all. He looked like me before a paic attack.

  • @Usagi1992 me too
