GUATEMALA CITY -February 23, 2007- Emergency crews Saturday found a third body in a 330-foot-deep sinkhole that had swallowed a dozen homes and forced the evacuation of nearly 1,000 people in a crowded Guatemala City neighborhood.
The body of Domingo Soyos, 53, was carried out of the enormous fissure and identified by family members, medical crews said.

Soyos was the father of teenagers Irma and David Soyos, whose bodies were found floating in a river of sewage soon after the sinkhole opened Friday.

Residents said there were other people unaccounted for, but emergency crews could not confirm that.

Officials blamed recent rains and an underground sewage flow from a ruptured main for the tragedy. The pit emitted foul odors, loud noises and tremors, shaking the surrounding ground. A rush of water could be heard from its depths, and authorities feared it could widen or other sinkholes could open.

Police evacuated nearby homes and cordoned off a 500-yard perimeter around the crater. Security officials were on guard for possible looters and curious onlookers.

Imagination is a true sign of intelligence - Albert Einstein XD he said it many times. This is harmless, and most these people probably BELIEVE it COULD be a sink hole. But have a imagination, free unlike yours to run wild, entertain their minds and create new ideas. And if you don't want to encourage that it's everyone's loss. And I don't have time to waste, people in the entertainment industry make big bucks for a reason and science often tries to take ideas from film.

Look, many people with absurd thoughts contribute alot to this world, it's a fact proven only by time and reality, existence itself. People rude just because people have a over active imagination is not polite. You have a very good point. Your ability to create absurd fantasies about a hole in the ground which was created by a very common and simple natural occurrence really does give you an "edge" over me. It must be nice to go through life with the complete naivety to believe anything anyone tells you. Did you know that every round stone on the ground is actually a dragon egg? One day Niburu will sling earth into the sun causing all the eggs to hatch and eat us. Think about it.
