This is a video of a humpback whale next to our boat off the shore of Provincetown in Cape Cod. Researchers don't know why whales do this, but believe it may be some form of communication.

  • JUST A QUESTION... is there a reason why we cant keep these things in pools the size of football fields. not just this species even the bigger ones. and trust me i dont want it to happen but you gotta ask because if i came up with it somebody already thought about it

  • fliering or flipper slaping is regarded as a form of communication but also for grooming purposes. they get covered in barnicles and use the force of hitting it off the water to knock them off
