This is a video of a humpback whale next to our boat off the shore of Provincetown in Cape Cod. Researchers don't know why whales do this, but believe it may be some form of communication.
JUST A QUESTION... is there a reason why we cant keep these things in pools the size of football fields. not just this species even the bigger ones. and trust me i dont want it to happen but you gotta ask because if i came up with it somebody already thought about it
fliering or flipper slaping is regarded as a form of communication but also for grooming purposes. they get covered in barnicles and use the force of hitting it off the water to knock them off
